Seasons
La Réserve Beauchêne offers a dynamic fishing season that kicks off in early May, coinciding with the opening of its lodge and outpost camps. From May through October, anglers can pursue a diverse array of species across its 40 lakes. The season begins with excellent opportunities for Brook Trout and Splake, with Lake Trout also readily available in May. As spring transitions into summer, Smallmouth Bass become increasingly active, providing exciting topwater action. The prime time for Walleye, known to reach impressive sizes, extends through the summer and into the fall. Northern Pike, with their striking coloration, are also a consistent target throughout the warmer months. The lodge's commitment to conservation is evident, with a modified "Catch & Release" program and specific lakes restricted to fly fishing only, emphasizing a sustainable approach to its rich fishery. The season typically concludes around mid-October, with some specific lakes having earlier closing dates, such as Taggart Lake chain closing September 13th.
