The Rena River offers a dynamic fly-fishing experience that shifts with the seasons, primarily focusing on its renowned trout and grayling populations. The season officially kicks off around May 1st, with early spring fishing presenting opportunities for both species as the water begins to warm. As summer approaches, from mid-June through mid-August, the fishing intensifies with prime conditions for large trout and grayling, coinciding with the peak of insect hatches. The late season, extending from mid-August to October 15th, continues to provide excellent opportunities, particularly as the water temperatures cool and insect activity remains strong, especially with the prolific mayfly hatches that draw anglers from around the globe.
