The Montana Harrison Homestead offers a classic Montana fly-fishing experience on the Yellowstone River, with prime fishing typically running from April through October. The season kicks off in April and May with excellent opportunities for trout on nymphs and streamers as the waters begin to warm. As spring progresses into summer, the hatches become more active, with mayflies and caddisflies providing excellent dry fly fishing, particularly in June and July. August and September are renowned for their terrestrial fishing, especially hopper fishing, when large trout actively feed on insects near the banks. The fall months, through October, offer a beautiful and productive end to the season with changing colors and continued opportunities for large trout before the lodge closes for winter.
