Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge offers a dynamic fishing season, primarily from June through September, with each month bringing a distinct focus. Early season, from June into early July, is prime time for trophy Rainbow Trout, often referred to as 'Leopard Trout' for their distinctive spotting. This period also offers excellent opportunities for Arctic Grayling and Arctic Char, with the added bonus of spotting moose calves. As July progresses, the lodge enters its peak salmon season. From early July through mid-August, anglers can expect massive runs of Sockeye Salmon, averaging 7-9 lbs, known for their fighting spirit and abundance. This is followed by the arrival of King Salmon, with prime slots in the latter half of July, where fish can exceed 35 lbs. By mid-July through mid-August, Chum Salmon, pound-for-pound the hardest fighting salmon, begin their run, averaging 9-12 lbs. Even-numbered years see an explosion of Pink Salmon from late July to mid-August, providing fantastic numbers for beginners and families, averaging 3-5 lbs. The season culminates with the arrival of Silver Salmon from early August through September, averaging 8-10 lbs and renowned for their acrobatic fights and willingness to strike topwater flies. Throughout the season, resident species like Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, and Arctic Grayling remain available, with trout fishing particularly strong in August and September as they feed on salmon eggs. Northern Pike are also present in the backwaters and lakes, offering a different kind of predatory challenge.
