Seasons
Milton Lake Lodge offers a distinct fishing experience throughout its operational season, which spans from June through early September. June is particularly noted for its incredible Northern Pike action, as these predators remain shallow and aggressive in the cool northern waters. As summer progresses into July, the fishing remains balanced, with warmer weather making for comfortable days on the water. August is highlighted as the prime month for targeting trophy Lake Trout, as they school in deeper areas and remain active. By late August and into early September, these trout move back into shallower waters to stage for their fall spawn, presenting another excellent opportunity. Arctic Grayling are also active throughout the season, thriving in the clear, cold glacial rivers accessible from the lodge, offering a unique fly-fishing challenge. The lodge operates during the peak summer months to ensure guests have the best possible fishing experience. While each month offers its own advantages, the transition from warmer summer days to the cooler evenings of late August and early September also brings opportunities for viewing the Aurora Borealis, adding another layer of magic to the end of the season.
