Adirondack TrOutfitters
Status: enriched
Based in Saranac Lake, this guide operates across the full spectrum of Adirondack waters—from the deep lakes (Saranac, Placid, George, Ontario tributaries) to wilderness rivers and the famous Salmon River near Pulaski. The year divides into distinct seasons: winter ice fishing for lake trout on Lake George using sonar and jigging; spring and summer exploring the park's lakes and rivers by canoe and small boat for native trout, bass, and pike; overnight backcountry expeditions combining hiking with fly and spin fishing; and fall migrations to the Salmon River for King Salmon (averaging 15–20 lbs, up to 30 lbs) from September through November, followed by steelhead runs from late October through November and again in April.

"fishingSeasonsNarrative": "My guiding year is split between the diverse waters of the Adirondack Park and the renowned Salmon River. In the Adirondacks, I offer a year-round experience, adapting to the conditions. Winter brings excellent ice fishing opportunities for Lake Trout on Lake George, where we actively jig and use sonar to find these aggressive fish. As the ice melts, the focus shifts to trout, bass, and pike in the numerous lakes and rivers. Spring and summer are ideal for exploring these waters by canoe or small boat, targeting native trout, bass, and pike with both spin and fly gear. For those seeking a deeper immersion, I offer overnight backcountry trips that combine hiking with fishing for native trout and salmon. The Salmon River, on the other hand, has a more defined peak season. From September through November, it's prime time for King Salmon, with fish averaging 15-20 lbs and up to 30 lbs. This is followed by an excellent Steelhead run starting in late October and continuing through November, as they feed on salmon eggs. We resume trips on the Salmon River again in April for spring Steelhead.",

Multi-day backcountry trips combine hiking into remote wilderness with fishing for native trout and salmon. Fall trips to the Salmon River focus on sight-casting and drift techniques for King Salmon and steelhead, with peak action September through November and again in April.",
