"answer": "We specialize in quality shore dinners. No guided trip on the St. Lawrence is complete without enjoying the traditional 1000 Islands shore dinner! Started long ago by the fishing guides who used to row their parties out to the islands, the traditional Shore Dinner is a feast you won’t soon forget. Fish from 8 AM until around noon, then the Captain will take you to a private island where he'll prepare the meal. Enjoy a fresh green salad while the bacon cooks for the BLT sandwiches (with the best homegrown tomatoes). Salt potatoes, a north country tradition, and your fresh caught fish, fried to a golden brown will keep you busy while your guide prepares your French Toast, served with local Maple Syrup for dessert. Your leisurely ride back to Alexandria Bay will add memories as you relax and view the glorious scenery. The shore dinner adds $30 per person to the cost of the day’s trip. Count on it to keep you full... way past dinner time.",
